Merits of the NSJT:

A) As for the private sector:

  1. The number of the trainees in the program are considered withen the percentage of Saudization reference to the employments contracts signed by trainee.
  2. Better utilization of the qualified youths against a low rate of payment.The system allows for the establishment to benefit from the financial support provided by the Human Resources Development Fund, which will re-numerate 75% of the stipend paid to the trainees during training.
  3. The Human Resource Development Fund will contribute in subsidizing the process of employing trainees during their participation. 50% of the trainee’s stipend will be paid after joining the job in the first year then decreases in the next year according to the regulations of the Fund.
  4. The trainee will be treated as a productive employee during the longest portion of the training duration. 
  5. Training a trainee inside any institution will make him develop his own sense of responsibility and affiliation towards his job, which will encourage him to double his efforts in terms of quality and quantity.
  6. The NSJT training programs will contribute in maintaining the needs of the private sector of the highly trained Saudi youths in the various fields of specialties at the actual work places.

B) As for the Trainee:

  1. A stipend is paid to the trainee during the training program.
  2. Provide employment after passing the training.
  3. Concentrating on the practical side in the work location will assist the trainee to gain experience needed for the job.
  4. Take into consideration the training period as part of the work experience of the trainee.
  5. When the trainee is admitted in the training program, he will be registered in the social insurance.
  6. One month paid vacation for the trainee.

The Practical Training:

Institutions participating in the training program shall be selected provided that they have adequate training facilities. A trainer will be appointed, hence become responsible and supervise the process of implementing the training program in the related company.

The Supervision:

A number of Inspectors will be appointed by GOTEVOT to supervise and inspect the training process and evaluate the performance of the trainees. The Inspector will visit the trainee at the training location as per a schedule prepared specially for supervision and follow-up process.

The External Examiner:

His main role is to evaluate the trainee’s achievement and how the training units and work locations are adequate and suitable for the needs of the training process which will be conducted by a number of trade-related specialists assigned by the Human Resources Development Fund and upon coordination with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

The Examinations:

The system gives three types of examinations:

  • Preliminary theoretical exam in the theoretical training syllabus.
  • Preliminary theoretical exam during the training period.
  • A theoretical and practical comprehensive exam.


The Certification:

Upon passing the training period, the trainee will be granted a vocational certificate for specific trade approved by the GOTEVOT and the chamber of commerce and industry.
